Last fall, the popular TV show “Dancing With the Stars” presented The Andréa Rizzo Foundation with passes to a live performance of the show in Los Angeles. The Foundation sent one patient (a young teen who had participated in the Dréa’s Dream dance therapy program at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center) and her mother to experience the excitement of the show. Joined by Foundation members, they flew to Los Angeles, California, treated to front row seats at the show, and met the dancers later that evening. This was a “dream come true” for this young girl.
